But how did it come to this?!
Born in North Yorkshire Moors UK, Rowan Colman's passion for horse riding and hunting was an inevitable interest growing up in the English countryside.
Rowan completed his Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers (DipWCF) qualification in London, giving him extensive skills in the assessment, trimming and balancing the hoof, and applying a shoe or alternative. Refining his skills under mentorship of renowned David P Smith, England's 6x National Farriery Champion, Rowan up-skilled his apprenticeship by obtaining a Certified Eurofarrier qualification and a Farrier (CF) FITS Advanced Skills certification.
Combined with his training and experience developed over the past 17 years, Rowan is well known on the Australian farrier competition circuit having won multiple awards in Toowoomba and Scone as well the UK National Senior apprenticeship 3rd 4th year class for forging.
Now based in Gidgegannup, Western Australia,
Rowan exclusively works alongside specialised veterinary and therapeutic cases as well as high level competition horses. Rowan's passion has shifted from being the farrier, to using his knowledge and expertise to be the most trusted provider of farrier equipment and supplies in Australia.
